Life certificate for November 2026: who submits it, when and how
The fifth nationwide Digital Life Certificate campaign runs from 1 to 30 November 2026; pensioners aged 80 or above can also submit in October.

A life certificate confirms to the bank or post office that pays your pension that you are alive, so the pension keeps coming. Central government pensioners give it once a year, usually in November.
When
The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare will run Digital Life Certificate Campaign 5 from 1 to 30 November 2026, covering more than 2,000 cities and towns (guidelines dated 13 August 2026). Pensioners aged 80 years and above may also submit in October: banks are to equip their branches to serve them from 1 to 31 October 2026.
How to submit from home with your phone
- Install UIDAI's Aadhaar Face RD app, then the Jeevan Pramaan app, from the Play Store or App Store.
- Open Jeevan Pramaan. Enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number and the OTP sent to you; the person operating the phone (you or a helper) scans their face first. Then enter your name as in Aadhaar, PPO number, pension account number and pension disbursing agency.
- Then the pensioner looks at the camera in good light for face authentication.
- When it succeeds, you get an SMS with your Jeevan Pramaan ID. Your bank can then see the certificate online.
Keep the SMS: it is your proof that the certificate was generated.
Other ways
You can also submit at your pension-paying bank branch, or at a camp. Participating banks will hold camps on every day of November 2026, and camps with India Post Payments Bank are planned at all district headquarters.
More than 6.40 crore digital life certificates were generated for central and state government pensioners over the past four years.
