Jharkhand government employees

Jharkhand follows the central 7th CPC pattern. Finance Department Resolution No. 217/F dated 18 January 2017 gave state employees the seventh pay revision with effect from 1 January 2016, in line with the Centre. The state's own DA orders describe this as the 'revised pay scale (seventh central pay scale)', and paragraph 9 of that resolution links state DA to the central rate. Source

DA for Jharkhand government employees: 60% from 1 January 2026. Source 60% of basic pay from 1 January 2026 for employees on the 7th pay scale, raised from 58%. It matches the central rate. DA is paid on basic pay only, not on special or personal pay. Separate orders of the same date cover employees still on the 6th and 5th pay scales and pensioners. The central DA from 1 July 2026 had not been announced on 22 October 2026, so no newer state order was expected.
