Meghalaya government employees

Meghalaya has its own state pay commission. Pay is under the Meghalaya Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2018 (Finance (Pay Revision) Department notification No. F(PR)-77/2017/117, 1 March 2018), which carry out the 5th Meghalaya Pay Commission's recommendations. The rules are deemed in force from 1 January 2017, a year after the central 7th CPC date, and use a pay matrix with levels like the central one. Source

DA for Meghalaya government employees: 53% from 1 January 2026. Source DA rose from 51% to 53% from 1 January 2026 for employees and pensioners. The rate applies to pay under Meghalaya's own 2018 pay rules, so it cannot be compared directly with the central 60%. Meghalaya pays DA on its own pay scales, so this rate cannot be compared with the central rate.
Order: Finance (Pay Revision) Department O.M. No. F(PR)-53/2017/85 dated 29 May 2026: 51% to 53% w.e.f. 1.1.2026; previous O.M. No. F(PR)-53/2017/76 dated 28 Oct 2025
